Before importing EPG content files into the system, you must first match the ID of the channel on the EPG file with the ID of channel on the system. This way each EPG row will be imported into the proper channel.
Please check the following before the import:
- Edit or view the content of your EPG file using a text editor like Notepad++
- EPG files have usually data or content for more than one TV channel. Select the IDs of those TV channels you want the data imported.
example xmltv file:
- Go to the administration portal and edit the channel for which you want to import EPG data.
- Under the field EPG MAP ID enter the ID of channel you selected from step 2.
- Save changes and go to Import Data->Epg Import.
- Note that the process will only import data for those channels whose IDs match.
